The University of Louisville Comparative Medicine is looking for graduating high school seniors to learn and gain experience. Participants will receive training, experience, and skills needed to provide quality husbandry care and cagewash operations for the humane care of laboratory animals.
Summary of Job Duties
Assemble and sanitize-sterilize a variety of cage systems.
Maintain and operate a variety of cage washer equipment.
Perform daily animal health observations.
Provide food and water to a variety of species.
Provide animals with clean and enriched living environments.
Provide daily enrichment, and socialization needs to a variety of species.
Assist veterinary staff with medical treatments.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
