The University of Louisville School of Nursing is seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for a split clinical practice/ academic teaching position. The APRN should have experience in teaching graduate nursing students. Excellence in teaching and learning pedagogy and adult learning principles will be essential. The individual must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills and abilities, be flexible and nimble, and follow through on matters related to faculty and student success. The practice portion will include the full scope of primary care services to infants, children, adults, and the older adult populations as well as women’s health with a payor mix of private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. This is a 12-month term faculty position with focused teaching in the MSN and DNP program; however, the individual should be prepared to teach across programs. Initial rank is Assistant Professor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree
- Experience in teaching graduate nursing students in multiple course delivery modalities, including online and hybrid.
- Knowledge of Blackboard Ultra
- Excellent presentation, writing, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Eligiblefor a term appointment.
- Eligible to obtain an unencumbered RN and APRN license to practice nursing in Kentucky.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in course development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated leadership and teaching scholarship.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching and learning.
- Experience developing curricular programming and educational programs with broad campus collaboration.
